I EAT SCABS.
Yes, i peel off my scabs, put them in my mouth, chew them and eat them!
That sounds so gross and I would never admit that to anyone I know. But it's true.
I have been picking my scabs and eating them since I was about 4 years old. I remember the first time. I had a big, hard scab on my knee. I looked at it, not quite knowing what it was. I can't say that I had ever noticed scabs before--maybe it was my first. But I picked at it and realized it didn't really hurt, as it was almost healed, and I was able to pull the big chunk of scab off.
I don't know what made me decide to put the scab into my mouth and eat it--but I did. And I liked it. It doesn't really taste "good," but it has a distinct taste. I've been eating most my scabs ever since.
Whenever I've had a sore on my face, legs, arms, hands, I pick the scab as soon as it's formed and sneak it into my mouth. It just doesn't feel right to pick it off and throw it away. And it surely doesn't feel right to just leave the sore alone and let it heal! Sometimes I've noticed that my body seems to get tired of me picking at the scab like i have some kind of disorder, and the new scab that forms becomes very flat, thin, almost inverted so I can't pick at it any more. The human body is so intelligent!!! When I was a teen I would pick my skin on the face so much that I looked like I had the chicken pox or something all the time.
So that's my confession. Don't tell anybody.
Me too :)
